समन्दर की गहराई सिवा मैंने कुछ जाना नहीं
फ़लक-ओ-अब्र की ऊँचाई सिवा तुमने कुछ जाना ही नहीं
तड़पे हैं, तड़पेंगे मुसलसल दोनों,
ग़म-आश्नाई के सिवा हमने कुछ जाना ही नहीं
